Possibilities - experiences
I thought to write about my last week. The previous week: Monday morning, leisure time manager- drama students went to Albu for three days to spent some time with Albu's students. Totally cool little village. There were not more than 80 primary school student. They are so lucky! Their school is in a manor, which is one of the oldest in Järvamaa- it was mentioned for the first time in a year 1282. Even some of the paintings in a ceiling and murals still there. And the students respect their school. That's nice!
There was ten of us and we stayed in an apartment with four rooms. We divited into couple and gave two hour lessons. I was with Kristeliga and our task was to teach forum theatre to 8 and 9 graders. I hope that someday we will have another opportunity to do something in Albu.On Thursday I had the opportunity to carry out the Forum Theater presentation in Carl Robert Jakobson Gymnasium to high school drmaga group youth. I got my first experiences there being as a Jokker without supervisor.
Friday continued to gather new experiences. My kids from Viljandi came to Tartu and I did an excursion with them on town. That was nomething new for me. There were times when I felt like a kindergarden teacher, but the reality was, that I had 11 sixth graders with me, who yelled "Teacher! Teacher!" all the time. Actually this word makes me warm inside. Though I told to them that they don't need to call me teacher. (I do not have a teacher's papers yet). They still do.
Then came Vello by bus an took us to the Reola Culture House, where I had to put up Game day for youth there. There was also my previous (local) drama group, they got along with Viljandi students very well. In the evening when I had put students on the bus and had time for myself I felt that I was tired, especially my voice. But I was very pleased over these opportunities that I had (to gather experience).
